If you appear to be having issues with your Ventrilo server, please do not move it immediately. First, please check our network status page to ensure there is no outage. If none is listed, please give it at least a half hour -- and if the problems still occur, and there is no outage listed, you can then request to have your server moved. Generally this can take up to fifteen to thirty minutes. To move your server, please do the following:

  • Login to https://my.darkstarllc.com/.
  • Click Manage Ventrilo Servers under the left 'My Servers' menu.
  • Select your Ventrilo Server by hitting the 'Go' button.
  • Click 'Change Server Location' under the options menu towards the middle of the page.
  • Select your new server location, and hit 'Request Server Move.'

Please note you can only change your server location once every twenty-four hours.
In order to ensure that our system(s) do not get overloaded with customers attempting to change their location frequently, as well as to reduce the possibility of attempting to slow down the machines by spamming server moves, we have decided to only allow one move per twenty-four hours.

All settings are moved when you move your server.
DarkStar's move system automatically copies over your settings to your new location. Your IP Address and Port number is the only thing that will change when you move your server. Please note that copying settings does take some time, so it can take nearly 15-20 minutes for a server move to complete.

You cannot move servers to Sydney, Brasil, Brisbane, New Zealand, or Perth Due to higher costs in the region, you are unable to move your server automatically to these locations. If you wish to be moved to one of these locations, you will need to open a support ticket so that we may adjust your billing.
