Performing a Trace Route with HLSW

To Perform a Trace Route in HLSW, you must first download the program. It can be downloaded at http://www.hlsw.org/ .
1. After Installing the program simply add your server IP and port to the "IP/Port Bar" located under "Server List Bar" and simply press enter.
2. Once you see your server appear on the list below, simply place your cursor over the name and right click. A list of commands will be displayed, when this happens navigate to the "Open Trace Route Dialog" tab and click on it.
3. A Screen will appear that will display the Trace Route of your Server. ( In other words the route which your ISP takes to connect you to your server) Trace Routes are extremely important becuase they allow our technicians to see whats causing any lag issues that you might be experiencing.

1. Once the "Trace Route Screen" is opened, simply press the "PrntScrn" button. ( It's location make differ)
2. Then open Paint, which is located in the start menu.
3. Once in Paint, simply right click and press on paste, or use crtl+v. Then save the file, the desktop is always a good choice becuase the screen shot will be easy to find. Once you do this open a web browser and head over to http://imageshack.us/ . Browse for the file you saved, upload it, provide the link in your support ticket and your all done.
